Welcome to The Rainbow Tavern hotel in Kendal, the southern gateway to the Lake District. The market town of Kendal is ideally situated to explore, with Lake Windermere, only 8 miles away.
The hotel is situated opposite the tourist information centre in the town centre of Kendal, with its bustling shopping streets and variety of restaurants on its doorstep.
The hotel along with its recently refurbished existing accommodation has brand new en-suite rooms finished to a high standard. Our lively bar is open to locals and guests alike and boasts one of the few beer gardens in the town centre.
We have developed an excellent reputation in Kendal and we will continue to build on this by consistently bringing you a professional service for extremely competitive prices.
Drinks
We offer a wide range of draught beers and cider including: Stella, Carling (and Extra Cold), Trophy, Carlsberg, John Smiths, Guinness Extra Cold and Strongbow. We also have a changing selection of real ales, on two pumps, currently Timothy Taylors Landlord and Tetley.
Our house wines are: Signature Shiraz (red) and Columbard Chardenay (white).

The Rainbow Tavern has a pool table, fruit machine, dartboard, I.T. box and juke box with 2,000,000 tracks for your enjoyment.

Our specials board for main meals changes on a regular basis.
We offer a wide range of homemade dishes, including real chips.
Whenever possible we use locally sourced ingredients.
